reconciliation

Last week's events were the sort that change the world.

Our W.I.S.E. students have been doing a small group research project
for the past 10 weeks, each focusing on a different Native American
tribe. They researched the demographics, beliefs, culture, and
history of their selected tribe, all the while praying and seeking
God's heart for these people. Their project culminated last week in
creating a 24-hour/day prayer room which led our community into an
interactive, creative intercession time. The rooms were beautiful and
fun. One person at a time would go into the room for an hour, to
learn, listen, and pray.

On Friday we had an extended time of worship and prayer to end the 24-
hour prayer room, and God did some incredible things. Many people
asked forgiveness for racial prejudices and stereotypes, in what ended
up being a time of reconciliation and of renewed appreciation for the
many fingerprints of God evident in the many cultures of our world.
