got our visas!

Yesterday we went to the US consulate in Amsterdam for our visa
appointment. We had been waiting for this day for a long time, and a
lot hinged on this appointment. On the way to the consulate the tram
we were on broke down or something, so we had to jump onto a different
tram and take a long detour as we watched the minutes count down,
hoping we wouldn't be late. We made it just in time, and had a very
smooth interview process. Fortunately, Anna had carefully read
everything on their website, so we had all the necessary paperwork and
photos etc, they can be picky about that.

After a couple hours of lots of waiting and a brief interview, we were
told our visas were issued! And we received them in the mail today.

We're really excited to be heading back to Denver (very officially
now), to continue our work there.
