Christmas in Canada

Manke family
Brandt family
Twas picture time this Christmas for our family, as my (Brent's) immediate family drove from across Canada and the continent to be together for a few days, and the extended Brandt family came from around the globe be to all together for Christmas for the first time in eighteen years. Is that picture-worthy or what!

We had a blast spending time with everyone. There's something about family that's super cool. I hope you had the chance to appreciate your family and close friends this Christmas.

Christmas time at the Mankes'!

It's christmas time in our apartment! It's hard for us to decorate, seeing as we're going to be out of town for the 2 weeks leading up to the 25th, but today Anna picked up some lights and ornaments. Yay for christmas lights!

Photos in Denver

Morning in the City

Ted and I got up early and went into downtown Denver on Saturday to take some photos and meet some people. I posted a couple pics here. We met a man named Tare and he let us take his portrait. An artist, he's studying computer graphics now because he wants to "make his paintings move." We enjoyed exploring, chatting, and taking pics.

War-Torn Creation

A friend recommended a podcast for the upcoming WISE school. I just listened to "War-Torn Creation" by Greg Boyd (go here and look down the list to 7/15/07 for slides and study guide).

I love how Boyd talks about spiritual warfare on a larger scale, in a way that affects with our whole life and the whole world (although that also makes it a little uncomfortable cause it gets personal). He talks about how fighting disease and poverty, taking care of animals and the environment, all of that is spiritual warfare.

Check it out and let me know what you think!
