W.I.S.E. students graduate

Last Friday, with pride, we graduated 13 students from this year's
W.I.S.E. training program. During the graduation ceremony, as each
student had a chance to briefly share about a significant moment from
the past three months, I was struck by all that God has done in each
of them.

They're each heading their way now, some going home, others are
heading into other ministry opportunities. Several are staying in
Denver for while (we're glad to see their faces around!). Pray for
them, as they learn to translate the things they learned during their
time here into their next steps.

a takeaway show

On Monday night a few friends and I went out to shoot this live music video (in the "take-away show" style, which is done in one take, with one camera, and the music is live) in the train station in downtown Denver. Darren set up on a bench, I started recording audio, and called Anthony to start rolling video from outside the station, from where he eventually wandered in. Ted got some great photos of the whole thing.

Enjoy!

reconciliation

Last week's events were the sort that change the world.

Our W.I.S.E. students have been doing a small group research project
for the past 10 weeks, each focusing on a different Native American
tribe. They researched the demographics, beliefs, culture, and
history of their selected tribe, all the while praying and seeking
God's heart for these people. Their project culminated last week in
creating a 24-hour/day prayer room which led our community into an
interactive, creative intercession time. The rooms were beautiful and
fun. One person at a time would go into the room for an hour, to
learn, listen, and pray.

On Friday we had an extended time of worship and prayer to end the 24-
hour prayer room, and God did some incredible things. Many people
asked forgiveness for racial prejudices and stereotypes, in what ended
up being a time of reconciliation and of renewed appreciation for the
many fingerprints of God evident in the many cultures of our world.

March

Thanks so much for your prayers while we were in New Orleans. We had
a fun, challenging, refreshing trip. We spent each day on the
streets, meeting people, laughing, playing music, speaking into lives,
praying for people. In the midst of the intense atmosphere of Mardi
Gras, we saw God provide one homeless friend work and a place to stay,
and that through another friend who began to understand that God was
with him and for him.

Throughout our time I was so proud of our students, who continually
heard the comment, "I hate Christians. But you guys are cool, I like
you."

We are proud to now call a few outcasts and "sinners" our friends.

Thanks for your prayers.

This week we've been in our annual YWAM Denver staff conference, which
has been really refreshing. It's a privilege to work with friends!

Please continue to pray for us, that we would invest well into our
students during this last month of their training. Several of them
will be going on outreach or continuing in ministry with YWAM
following their training.

We're doing well personally, and are excited about what God's doing in
our lives and the lives around us.

Thanks so much for your support and prayers.
