X Games

Pray for our Boarders DTS this weekend. They're in Aspen, CO, at the
annual winter X Games, the premier extreme sporting event of the
year. Our group of about 60 people will be handing out coffee,
building relationships, and seeking to serve and share the love of
Christ the thousands of extreme sports lovers they encounter. The X
Games have been an annual outreach spot for our Boarders for several
years now, and each year the relationships and opportunities have only
grown. Pray that our students and staff would serve wholeheartedly
and take advantage of every opportunity to share the love of Christ
with those they encounter.

Thanks!

a paradigm shift

Check out Carl Medearis' blog at http://www.carlmedearis.com/ for some
interesting thoughts on Christianity, Islam, and the way of Jesus.
Carl spoke at our church gathering on Sunday, and stirred us to focus
on the way of Jesus in the midst of world events and our culture.

week 2 of W.I.S.E. school

Classes for the second week of W.I.S.E. school have begun. This week
our 13 students are learning about "responding to God" in worship,
prayer, and listening to God.

Last Friday we had a fun school outing, where we went to play
broomball on a mountain lake near Denver. Lots of bruises (the ice
was really slippery!), but also lots of laughs. We're getting to know
all the students, and are exciting for what God is doing in each of
their lives.

January

hello friends,

Hope you had a great holiday season. We enjoyed spending the
Christmas week in Canada, Anna's first with my family.

Monday marked the beginning of our winter training programs here at
YWAM Denver. We have about 55 students in our programs this quarter.
Anna and I are leading about 12 students in our W.I.S.E. (Worship
Intercession Spiritual Warfare and Evangelism) school this winter.
Our students all seem eager to learn and grow closer to God. We're
excited for the months ahead with them.

Please pray for us, that God would use to invest in these students'
lives and futures in ministry. Also pray for safety as we commute to
and from our mountain campus regularly during through the winter.

Thanks for your prayers and support.
